Global Leadership Associates (GLA) is a diverse team of business leadership experts. We create experiential training to suit the changing needs of today’s work world. Our customized training builds research and practice into culturally responsive workshops, coaching and needs assessment combinations specific to our business and industry clients. At Global Leadership Associates, we specialize in bringing cultural knowledge and effective leadership skill development together, for healthy and profitable workplace environments.
Education
GLA understands that an increasingly multicultural student population requires new approaches to teaching and learning that can incorporate English Language learners, new immigrants, Aboriginal families and a variety of community and religious backgrounds without losing sight of curricular objectives. We provide a joint school/district strategic analysis for culturally responsive teaching capacity that assists decision makers and front-line teachers alike with their jobs. Rather than trying to sell a one-size-fits-all program package, we consult with stakeholders to design a plan that is specific to their needs and goals. Part of our strategy consists of linking schools to in-system and outside agency resources to relieve the pressure on schools.
Human Services
Working with new populations can be both challenging and fulfilling. How do you create a community portrait to actually see the populations living in your area? How can new cultural groups be attracted to existing services? Is it possible to discover if clients are being served in a way that builds their capacity? How can existing community leadership be tapped? How can we effectively deal with discrimination and poverty? If we truly assist families to deal with the multiple issues that confront them on a daily basis, we need to know their realities and engage them in the decision making process. GLA works with human service organizations to help define and clarify their desired impact on the community and design programming and community development accordingly.
