At Global Leadership Associates we understand that today’s workplace is constantly changing. Yesterday’s needs and demands are not the same today – the world is moving at an ever-increasing pace and Canadian workplaces feel the impact of pressures from all angles.
Our training focuses specifically on the needs of your workplace today with an eye on what requirements will be necessary for next steps to remain competitive in the global market tomorrow.
Our training creates an environment for both upgrading of essential workplace skills and management skill development for increasingly complex project coordination.
How do we fit these puzzle pieces together?
- focus on the group dynamics and human resources of your workplace
- build on-site capacity and create the conditions for ongoing learning
- meet workplace challenges with workplace strengths
- identify cultural themes and their impact on the organization
- apply research from the field to practical workplace concerns
- teach problem solving analysis strategies for ongoing response to change
- consider stress and work-life balance issues
- practice useful responses to workplace harassment and discrimination
- create an atmosphere of human rights and human responsibility at work
Corporate Social Responsibility

GLA believes in supporting people and worthy organizations with both money and action. As a business we contribute regularly to the Tamaraneh Community Development and Support Society that works in Northern Sierra Leone to assist the poorest country in the world with basic education, health and clean water. We also support the work of Creating Hope for the Future, which assists Aboriginal families and communities to deal with the effects of child welfare and supports Aboriginal kinship care development. 10% of GLA revenue goes directly to support these organizations and the people they serve.
But we also contribute by serving on the boards, organizing fundraisers, attending partner events, facilitating workshops, writing grants and letters of support, making nominations for recognition and consulting together on projects of mutual concern.
You can support the efforts of GLA for global prosperity:
- Check out the Tamaraneh and Creating Hope websites to donate and/or offer services.
- Send us stories and pictures about how you make the world a better place, we’ll link them to the GLA site.
GLA Training Principles
-
Knowledge does not change behavior; behavior changes when it becomes a problem for me.
- Balance production needs and people needs.
- Combine learning on and off site.
- Aim for the ideal, but see the real. See possibilities, work to eliminate obstacles.
- Cyclical learning: knowledge, volition, action, reflection.
- See the person in the culture and the culture in the person.
- Encourage cultural bonding but strategize for cultural bridging.
- Lead to serve, serve to lead.
- Training to impact the job directly while improving general skill set indirectly.
- The more diversity, the better the learning.
- Combine social inclusion with production goals for maximum effect.
- Everything is related; pay attention to relationships.
